Al is a retired Primary School teacher now living in Norfolk with his wife Pam and their labrador Flo. He loves almost all sports but especially rugby and golf. For many years Alistair played the comedy patter roles in the Gilbert and Sullivan operas and won the National Operatic and Dramatic Association’s award for best male character actor in 2010.

He now splits his time between playing golf and writing. He looks forward to publishing the second book in the Charlie Hipkiss mysteries later in 2023.
